There are certain new Buick models that are really popular with our Moreno Valley customers, such as the Buick Enclave SUV, and are doing well in the Chinese market, too.  Other vehicles from the brand are even gaining traction in Europe, where the nameplate isn't actually sold.  How is that possible?  Read on to learn more.

In Europe, the Buick Encore goes by the name Opel Mokka, and while it has a few tweaks here and there, it's very similar to the model that you'll find here at your local Buick dealer.

"This Buick-Opel guiding principle of similar, if not identical, vehicles is the right thing to do,"1 explains Jim Federico, a GM executive director in product development.  He continues to explain that in order to take out more of Buick's global competitors, they can carve out a special niche and boots sales and overall profit.

The Encore and the Mokka are 90% identical, and both were designed to be comfortable and capable while being more fuel efficient than traditional SUVs of the past.  The models are ideal for city driving, which is a big reason why the Mokka has been such a hit in Europe.
